Organizers invite photographers, amateurs, sympathizers, adorers, and all poets to submit their contributions to the alternatives of photography. OFF programme on 08 09 2016 starts at 07:30 PM with the show of contributed works, comments and discussions. The “open microphone” session, and alternative musical improvisation by the zaizras&humusic project “Vibes in the Air” will continue the event into the night.

Friday, August 5th, 6 p.m. we would hereby like to invite you to the photography exhibition by Vilma Samulionytė „60 monnuments. Civil registy offices“ in Jonava cultural center gallery. There are 60 civil registry offices in Lithuania. During soviet times when the state was reorganized (50’s) social rituals had to change as well. Newly made civil registry offices replaced traditionally existed marriage places and became official institution, which could register marriage and issue the marriage certificate. Those artificially constructed spaces suddenly became the legalizing institution of your status and the place of “life celebration”, which before was a church.

Kaunas Photography gallery is opening an exhibition “Dievs Daba Dabs” (“God Nature Toil”) by artist from Latvia Vika Eksta on July 21st. The young photographer presents the women daily life in countryside of early XX century.

Union of Lithuanian art photography announces selection of photographs for contest Debut ’16. We invite Lithuanians living in country and abroad to participate. You are expected to submit from 3 to 15 black and white or colorful photographs which are taken not earlier than 2012 (preferably photo cycle or series).

KAUNAS PHOTO festival has been a festival of premières for future stars of photography since its launch in 2004. The festival is organised every year in Kaunas, the second largest city of Lithuania. Being the longest-running photo art festival in the Baltic States, KAUNAS PHOTO is a platform for dialogue around contemporary photographic creation between North and South, East and West.
