“Lithuanian Photography” is an annual photography chronicle published by the Lithuanian Photographers’ Association, systematically documenting and reflecting the development of photography in Lithuania. First published in 1968, and with some interruptions, it remains an important platform for the documentation and analysis of visual culture.

The chronicle presents the work of Lithuanian photographers from different periods, reviews key processes within the field of photography, as well as significant trends. Each issue is usually structured around a selected relevant theme, allowing for a deeper analysis of different aspects of the photographic field and revealing its diversity. Alongside visual material, the publication includes art-historical texts, critical insights, and analyses of historical processes, helping to better understand the place of photography within a broader cultural context.

“Lithuanian Photography” performs an important archival and educational function – it not only records changes in the photographic field but also shapes its historical memory. The chronicle has become a significant source for art historians, curators, students, and anyone interested in the development of Lithuanian photography and the history of visual culture.
