In May 2023 the artist residency program, which is part of the international photography symposium “NIDA. Meeting Photography”, will start it second edition. After the announced open call, there was selected one artist, who will stay and create in Nida and 20 runners up, whose work will participate in symposiums evening projections program in September.

Art residency in Nida

Lithuanian Photographers Association in collaboration with Nida Art Colony invite lens-based artists and photographers to apply for an artist residency program in Nida. This residency is also a part of the international photography symposium NIDA. Meeting photography. The aim of it is to reflect on the site-specific ecosystems and the changing boundaries of photography, to actualize photography both as a medium and as a means of expression.

Photo Israel comes back for its 10th edition! Annual International Photography Festival moves to Einav Cultural Center & City Garden in Tel Aviv and will take place on November 23 - December 3, 2022. The festival's theme this year is Action. It presents prominent Lithuanian art collective Cooltūristės projects Emancipation Flag – Balcony and Women on the Moon. Riga Photography Biennial – NEXT and ISSP Gallery announce an open call

Until 2nd October 2022, young artists from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are invited to submit their work for the Riga Photography Biennial – NEXT 2023 Award “Seeking the Latest in Photography!”. The winner of the award will be chosen by and international jury and will have an opportunity to hold a solo exhibition at the ISSP Gallery within the framework of RPB – NEXT 2023 program held in May, 2023, where the awarding of other laureates will also take place.

NIDA. Meeting Photography is pleased to launch an open call for lens-based works for a curated evening of projections in Nida, Lithuania. We invite artists and photographers of any age, nationality, and geographic location to submit lens-based works in a form of photographic series or short videos (up to 10 min) exploring the theme “Do you feel like in a hurricane eye?”. Please send your work via the platform PICTER by July 17th.
Submissions open for the Meitar Award for Excellence in Photography

The Meitar Award for Excellence in photography, a collaboration between PHOTO IS:RAEL and the Zvi and Ofra Meitar Family Fund, will be awarded for the Seventh time this year for a body of work that demonstrates excellence in the field of photography. The 20 finalists will be showcased in a group exhibition at the International Photography Festival in November 2022 in Tel-Aviv. The award winner will be announced in November during the festival.

Vytenis Jankūnas' Photo Book “Dance With Me” Launch

On May 18th, 7 PM WhiteBox ArtSpace (9 Avenue B, NYC) celebrates the publication of Dance With Me, an album of photographs by Lithuanian-American artist Vytenis Jankūnas, with a discussion between the artist and art critic Eleanor Heartney. Dance With Me records the changing face of New York City during the first year of the pandemic. As a resident of the city for twenty five years, Jankūnas brings a perspective that flows from his simultaneous status as insider and outsider.
