For its 10th edition Tbilisi Photo Festival launches an international Open Call for participation in the official program of Night of Photography - an open air nights screenings - a highlight of the Festival with up to 10,000 people coming each year to see some of the best images from across the globe. The Tbilisi Night of Photography has been launched in 2010 as a Caucasian version of the Arles Photo Festival’s “La Nuit de l’Année”.

The Riga Photography Biennial – NEXT 2019 contemporary art event will take place in Riga and Berlin from 4 April until 28 June, inviting audiences to exhibitions, a portfolio review, lectures and a symposium about activism in the latest art from the Baltics. The biennial’s off-year programme NEXT has been developed with a focus on emerging artists who are at the beginning of their creative careers and provides an opportunity to present their work in a wider context.

The Portfolio Review is open to the applicants worldwide, and is an opportunity for emerging and mid-career photographers to showcase their work to an exclusive group of professionals in the field of photography including curators, festival directors, magazine editors and photographers. The event takes place during Riga Photomonth 2019 opening week and prior booking is necessary. There are about 25 places available.

You’re kindly invited to the opening of Leonid Plotkin’s photography exhibition "Nostalgia for Eternity. The Indian Subcontinent: Religion, History and Myth". Opening reception will take place at the Tolerance Center of the Vilna Gaon State Jewish Museum (Naugarduko Str. 10/2, Vilnius) at 5.30 p. m. on the 28th of March, 2019. The exhibition will be opened till the 19th of May, 2019.

International call for entries: Athens Photo Festival 2019

Athens Photo Festival 2019 is accepting submissions for its exhibition program. The selected works will be exhibited from 6 June to 29 July 2019, at the Benaki Museum / Pireos 138, one of the most prestigious museums in Greece. The Festival seeks to bring together emerging as well as established artists and photographers with the aim to reflect the diversity of photography and visual culture today.

Till 1 October 2018 young artists from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are invited to submit their work for the Riga Photography Biennial’s Award Seeking the Latest in Photography! 2019. The award winner will be offered a solo exhibition at the ISSP Gallery in April 2019.
