Touchable exhibits. The cases of Vadim Šamkov and Vilma Šileikienė

Because the artist Vadim Šamkov works at a museum (frames artworks, helps installing them), his relationship with works of art, museum spaces is immediate. Differently from the viewers, Vadim not only can but must touch, lift, unpack. The understanding of peculiarity of the situation gains visual form. While working at the museum, Vilma Šileikienė also has the unique opportunity to spend time with the works, which is why she has been creating the "Process" series since 2009. Both authors' relationship with art objects is unique, creating new meanings and connections. Their work reveals the dialogic nature of images.
