Artist, Vilnius Academy of Arts Postdoctoral Intern – Dovilė Dagienė will present artistic research Memories of Plants conducted by implementing organic photography processes and archival materials. The presentation is based on the author’s practice, including work in botanical gardens studying plant characteristics, conducting experiments with plants and manufacturing prints using the phytographic (Gr. Phyton – plant, grapho – write) printing method.

Dovilė Dagienė DODA is an artist and photographer who lives and works in Vilnius. In 2020 graduated from Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, Photography and Media Art with DFA (Doctor of Fine Arts) degree. Research interests include memory, imagination, time, and place in photography. With her latest project on plant memory, the artist is exploring the boundaries of analogue photographic mediums. Since 2006 she has been participating in group exhibitions and has held several solo shows in Lithuania and abroad.
