Lecture "Museum of Photography: A Close-up"

The lecture will present the history and overview of the collections in Lithuania‘s one and only Museum of Photography in Šiauliai, along with the new concept of the museum after its recent reconstruction, the relevance and prospects of its activities, and the opportunities for cooperation for the artists.

Vilija Ulinskytė-Balzienė is historian and heritage conservationist. Since 2000, she has been director of the Museum of Photography in Šiauliai, where she curates exhibitions organized by the museum, as well as projects for research, preservation, digitization, publishing and other kinds of distribution of Lithuanian photographic heritage.
