Camilo Errante (Colombia)
Errante entre montañas y niebla (Wandering between mountains and fog)
This is a photographic book in the form of a naturalist diary. It contains reflections and photographs of the work I enjoy the most: contemplating life from the depths of wild nature. It is a prayer to the animal, the Andean tiger cat, the puma, the bear. It is the evocation of sensations; nostalgia and cold that enter through the eyes and hands. A journey through the Colombian Andes Mountains.
An opportunity for error; the foggy, noisy and out-of-focus photo is welcome here, as it is a sample of the wild conditions of the cloud forest and opens the possibilities for experimentation. An exaltation to wander; to go wandering around looking at the world with curiosity for existence.
The book contains more than 150 photographs and 230 pages. Completely self-managed book. Year 2025.
I am a freelance nature photographer and graphic designer, passionate about wildlife, mountains and travel. In the last 10 years I have worked with the photographic technique known as photo trapping, to document the biodiversity of the mountains I inhabit, the Andes of Colombia, South America. I complement my photographic work with graphic design to create eye-catching pieces and to experiment in post-production.
Editorial products such as books and fanzines are the medium I like the most to materialize my photos and designs. Self-management and craftsmanship are reflected in my processes. I have been able to make 2 photo books that compile images of more than 15 years of work in nature, these are: La ciudad del zorro perro (The city of Crab-eating fox) 2022 and Errante entre montañas y niebla (Wandering between mountains and fog) 2025.
