Spalvotas projektas

Spalvos atkuria akivaizdžiai natūralumą, derindamos estetinę tipologiją ir skaitmenines manipuliacijas.

Gamta dokumentuojama blaiviai ir tiksliai. Fotografuojami objektai atitrūkę nuo natūralaus konteksto, juodos spalvos fone. Vengiama subjektyvios įtakos. Pasirinktas vienodas ir neutralus požiūris. Jokių šešėlių ar atspindžių – gryna spalva – maksimalus ryškumas. Hiperrealistiškas atskirų objektų ryškumas sudaro vaizdą apie įvairius augalų fenotipus, kurių mes, naivūs stebėtojai, niekada negalėsime užfiksuoti realiame gamtos pasaulyje: aš padariau iki 80 skirtingai fokusuotų kiekvieno objekto nuotraukų ir vėliau sujungiau jas kompiuteryje. Tokiu būdu sukūriau augalų iliustracijas, kur kiekviena detalė absoliučiai ryški. Matome bekompromisį tikslumo lygį, kokio vien žmogaus akis niekada negalės pasiekti. Projektą sudaro dvi dalys: pagal spalvas išdėstytų augalų, gėlių ir grybų bei tos pačios augalų rūšies nuotraukų rinkiniai. Juodame fone žavesiu nušvinta augalai, dažnai žemės ūkyje laikomi piktžolėmis, o pavienių žmonių nepastebimi.Šis darbas įkvėptas Diuseldorfo fotografijos mokyklos principų.

Gimė 1962 m. Esene.

Nature is documented with sobriety and precision. The photographed objects are detached from their natural context, photographed against black. Subjective influences are avoided. A uniform and neutral point of view is chosen. No shadows or reflections — pure color — maximum sharpness. The hyper-realistic sharpness of the individual objects presents a view of the various plant phenotypes that we, as naïve observers, will never be able to take in the real natural world: I took up to 80 photos of each object with a shifted focus, which were then added together on the computer became. In this way I created illustrations of plants that show absolute sharpness in every detail. We look at an uncompromising level of precision that the human eye alone will never be able to achieve, since it has to selectively focus several times in order to capture objects in their entirety. The project consists of two parts, a collection of plants, flowers and mushrooms arranged chromatically called Rainbow and a collection of studies consisting of nine photographs each, with the same point of view of the same plant variety called phenotype Colors connects with: - Aesthetics and documentation, - Photography and painting, - Commitment and eco-critical natural philosophy. Colors reconstruct the apparently natural by combining aesthetic typology and digital manipulation. A luminosity shines against the black background, which fascinates and amazes, since it is mostly about plants that are often rejected as weeds by agriculture and are overlooked as inconspicuous by private individuals.

This work is inspired by the principles of the Düsseldorf School of Photography

Born in Essen in 1962. A lover of mountains and forests, he developed a great passion for collecting mushrooms with his parents as a child. After completing his photo design studies at the University of Bielefeld, he has for more than 20 years himslef to advertising and architectural photography. In addition to these commissioned works, in 2004 he developed the artistic project “Lost”: long exposure photos in which sound is recorded simultaneously to the photo being taken. At the same time, he began to develop a color focused technique. inspired by the principles of the Düsseldorf School of Photography In  2018 he published a book exclusively of mushroom photographs
