Neringa
"Neringa" is a series of collage works of photos and "artifacts".
Collages are created in different parts of the Curonian Spit, trying to cover the entire perimeter of this unique region. In the selected place, I take one or more instax photos of different formats and supplement them with "artifacts" (garbage) found by me on the ground or otherwise thrown by vacationers or residents.
According to Darwin's theory, we are descended from monkeys who, after eating their food, simply throw away their garbage. However, those monkeys evolve over generations, lose their nature and leave less and less garbage.
I secretly observe other areas and develop this cycle in other major cities of Lithuania.

It is important for me to leave at least some trace in Lithuanian culture with my work. I have been taking photos and living by photography for a long time, only recently I realized that the works in my computer media do not bring as much joy as I would like, neither to me nor to others. I promote real photography, I am especially fascinated by analog photography and all its processes.

Briefly about me:
I am from Kaunas, born and raised here, but at the moment I have escaped to a homestead in the countryside, closer to nature.
I am 40 years old, and like many "young people" of my age, I remember photography from my childhood, when my Dad, locked in a dark room, magically produced photos. The process was fascinating and mesmerizing, and this is how curiosity and love for photography arose.
Although I was no longer a student, I participated in the activities of the KTU Photo Studio at the invitation of a friend. I also met my wife there, so when someone asks what photography is to me, I answer - family.
I am raising three children. They see us immersed in photography, and I see them leaning towards visual art.
