CONCIERGE
A series of photographs about the life of a homeless man who lives right in the entrance of an apartment building and works as an unofficial concierge. He keeps the place clean and safe, decorates our entrance, collects books and other things. The entrance is his home, where he spends his time day and night, where he cooks and exercises. The openness and friendliness of the concierge allowed me to communicate with him and photograph him for six months. For this purpose, I chose the instax format to show the result to the hero immediately and thereby gain his trust and get his consent to shoot. I plan to organize the series into a photo book. Born in 1995, Vlasivka village, Chernihiv region, Ukraine. Now lives and works in Kyiv.
Works with analog photography, experimental techniques, documentary, and post-documentary photography. In practice, there is an installation, a performance. I'm starting to work with videos.
