In collaboration with Berlin based artist Sascha Abel. The project considers 12 portraits of the most important cities in the world we travelled digitally. I study the results of the influence of the algorithm of searching engines on the perception of visual information we are looking for online.
Monika Dubinkaitė - photographer, visual researcher, working in the genre of still life. She lives and works in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Monika's approach to her work is both deliberate and intuitive, as in her stills she carefully defines boundaries, and provides impulse and direction, while also allowing space for chance encounters and unexpected moments to emerge.
The main topics of her works are physicality of memory, coincidence and magic.
Her long-term projects were exhibited at local and international exhibitions and festivals such as Rotterdam Photo (The Netherlands), Halftone (Ireland). She’s got mentions and publications in photography all over the world.
Monika Dubinkaitė graduated from FotoDepartment in St. Petersburg. She collaborates with fashion brands and magazines as an artist and art director, bringing her unique perspective and creative vision to every project she undertakes.
