Tal Nissim is a photographer living and creating in Tel Aviv. He is Indie Photography Group Gallery co-initiator.

In his lecture Tal Nissim will talk about the history of cooperative galleries in Israel. What led to their establishment and how they changed the local art market? He will also elaborate on the history of photography in Israel and its development over the years. He will present “Indie” gallery as resulting from a combination of two developments: the desire to develop the photographic discourse in Israel, and the change of structure of the historical model that has been used till now.
