Laima Kreivytė – is art critic and curator of exhibitions, lecturer at Vilnius Academy of Arts and European Humanitarian University. Worked in cultural newspapers „7meno dienos” and „Literatūra ir menas“, publishes articles in publications of Lithuania and abroad. Curated over 50 exhibitions, from which the most important are these: Kęstutis Zapkus retrospective and Marija-Teresė Rožanskaitė „X rays“ in National Art Gallery, Lithuanian pavilion in 53rd Venice bienniale, Baltic pavilion in Prague 3rd biennale „Space Travelers“, in AR/GE KUNST gallery-museum in Bolzano (Italy) and „Mediations“ in Contemporary Art center.


In the exhibition „M/A\G/M\A. Body and Words in Italian and Lithuanian Women’s Art from 1965 to the Present” was highlighted self-reflection importance in the creative process. Self-analysis and your own body use seeking different purposes from writing and speaking to performance manifestations. In the talk I will discuss self-reflection and time, body and politics relations in Lithuanian and Italian women art.
