
Raimundas Urbonas (1963 - 1999) - one of the most original photographer in Klaipėda of 9th-10th decade. He began to participate in exhibitions from 1985, in 1987 recieved first awards in international exhibitions.
R.Urbonas wasn't educated as photographer. His first works were reportages, only later he began to look for his own object and format. After time he concentrated to objects and landscape, while photographing didn't use any technical tricks or fancy angles. The object of R.Urbonas - his surrounding: hippies, daily still-life, small towns, portraits, later - Prussia. "While photographing I don't touch or align anything. All the action is to norice, to see, just to find out. But not to touch" - said the artist.
R.Urbonas died in 1999.
