The exhibition of two photographers Romualdas Rakauskas and Gintaras Česonis titled “99” will be opened in Vilnius photography gallery on 5th of March, 2008 at 4 p.m.
The exhibition was named “99” according to the sum of age of Rakauskas (66) and Česonis (33). They were celebrating their anniversaries last year. Both photographers worked during their birthdays.

Romualdas Rakauskas was taking shots in Pabaiskas near Ukmergė.
He was continuing his cycle „Atlaidai” (“Feast”). Rakauskas took some self- portraits aswell.


© Gintaras Česonis
Gintaras Česonis was taking photographs at the Butrimonys village near Alytus, the native place of his father. Therefore one will find Gintaras’ relatives in those photographs.
Last year Gintaras Česonis was awarded with the name of the most memorable artist of Kaunas city.
The Rakauskas’ and Česonis’ photography exhibition “99” will be opened till 30th of March.
Vilnius’ Photography gallery (Stiklių 4, Vilnius, entrance from the Didžioji 19) is opened daily, except Sunday and Monday, from 11 to 19, on Saturday – from 11 to 15.
