2008.02.22 - 2008.03.16 "Prospekto galerija" (Gedimino pr. 43)
On the 22nd of February at 4 pm at Prospekto gallery will presented the project “Diary”. The project was initiated by the Union of Lithuanian Art Photographers and SONY Baltic company. The exhibition is untraditional in several meanings. Firstly all the photographs on the show are commissioned for this exhibition and were created by SONY photo cameras. Secondly, the way of installation is also unusual – the works of art are retranslated via TV sets and are not hanged on the walls. The participants of the project are young and already acclaimed photographers – Vidas Biveinis, Remigijus Treigys, Gintaras Česonis, Robertas Narkus, Joana Deltuvaitė, Ugnius Gelguda, Paul Herbst and Milda Zabarauskaitė.
The photographers received SONY photo cameras with the commitment to realize the artistic project under the theme “diary”.
The artists were given a freedom in the terms of theme interpretation therefore the results varies from traditional reportage and domestic still-lives to contemplative urban landscapes.
