"Ro-ko-ko-mixes" by Rokas Pralgauskas
2007.11.07 - 2007.12.09
Vilniaus fotografijos galerija (Stiklių g. 4)

Vilnius photography gallery presents the exhibition and comic book "Ro-ko-ko-mixes" by Rokas Pralgauskas. The exhibition runs from 7 of November till 12 of December 2007.

Mixes involve collages from literature and photography. Reassembled on cardboard with the smell of paints, prints, wallpapers, and things from the homes of heroes. There are comic characters like a typewriting machine of the novelist, a watch of Martynas, chair and carpet or a raincoat of detective Jr. Stasys etc.

The characters and things aren't fictions the stories aren't created. This is our time where we thrash around without finding own places, emigrate looking for happiness to other countries, go crazy, commit suicides, be angry, cry, work, drink, dance, fuck, laugh and fight. One must be tuff to stay purified externally and internally also.  Mixes are the stories about week ones. They don't hide some hidden meanings or conceptions they are about social reality.
