From the 10th of October 2007 at Prospekto gallery runs the photography exhibition of Joana Deltuvaite “Squatter Houses”.
In 2005 Culture ministry of the Republic of Lithuania awarded J. Deltuvaite with the prize for the best debut of the year. In 2006 young photographer won the competition organized by Alfred Toepfer Stiftung.
This award enabled J. Deltuvaite to travel through European major cities and visit squatter houses. The aim of the trip was to discover the values of Europe and answer to the question “what is important?”. In May 2007 at the photography house Deichtorhallen Hamburg was opened the exhibition “what is important” where three winners of the competition J. Deltuvaite, Pepa Hristova (Bulgaria) and Andre Lützen (Germany) presented their visions on European values. Exhibition at Prospekto gallery represents the works by Joana.

J. Deltuvaite is known as photographer interested in interior world. In this project the photographer staid faithful to the style and took more intimate look into the environment of squatted houses in London, Berlin and Amsterdam. There are no people at the photos, but one can easily imagine the owner through details, various objects, arrangements and colors.
The exhibition will run till the 29th of October.
